Has anyone sold a gift card over ebay? Is it safe?

I have 2 game gift cards and i was wondering whether it is safe to sell on ebay?

As in i'm worried i sell the gift card and then the buyer claims that the card was not worth the value i stated and tries to pull a fast one.

Im just worried this would happen as the cards are of high value and i would be left with nothing.

How do i protect myself?

Can anyone help?

dont sell it to anyone with low ebay feedback I guess,or sell here. if you are unlucky,ANYONE could claim the value isnt as stated unfortunately-think you would be safer here dealing with reputable members than using ebay

Sorry but that's the rules he's stated what the items are, if had just said have gift cards to sell and not mentioned the store would of been okay I believe but stating the shop has now put that rule into place. Can mod verify it.

As the OP has said that they have the item for sale and made members aware of that fact they may have therefore created advanced 'interest' in any potential listing ahead of them starting a thread on HUKD, however unintentionally. They would need to report this thread to be locked and wait 7 days before relisting on HUKD, but as they are aware they could sell here already and have instead asked about ebay this shouldn't be an issue, thanks.

So you would recommend not selling on ebay?

Will ebay always favour the buyer?

Used to sell on ebay, only sell there as a last resort and most of the time it's items that are faulty and stated that way.

Yes they 99% of the time favour the buyer as they investigation team are a bunch of idiots.

They have just been allowed again after Feedback and FS/FT rule reviews.

Beacuse you didn't know about the rule change it seems you have been deemed to be able too. Though double check with Sigma as the reply could be mis-construed.

Gift codes can also be sold on ebay for above face value sometimes, as people have money in their paypal account and want gift cards, it saves the hassle of transferring to bank account and then going to store to buy.

List at 99p start auction and you might be pleasantly surprised.
