ive briefly used one at a gym i use to go to. They seem to do their job quite well, would not buy one due to the high price however.

I was thinking of buying one but was wondering if the cheaper ones do the same job as the expensive ones.

I would guess no. If you look at the cheaper ones they don't appear to have the same quality. Having said that I have only tried the power plate, and never any of the others. I thought the power plate worked quite well, and it certainly made the exercises I did on it more difficult.

I think they're vibratey.

thanks for your replies. I have looked on the Power plate website and it costs £1495.00 for the cheapest one, I will have to find out how much it costs for a course somewhere.

Yeh we have 2 at our gym well one defiantly is a PowerPlate and I don't know what make the other one is. I've tried them and sometimes they are OK but not really my thing as they end up making me feel itchy.

Was going to say they are like £1500 though!

While we are talking about gym stuff, has anyone seen that abcirclepro in JohnLewis and on TV?

Have just looked at it on the official website and it looks like it would probably work , if its no good it does say you can send it back within 30 days and get your money back. I remember ordering a stepper thing a few years ago, used it for 3 weeks and got fed up with it and ended up sending it back.

why not just join a gym instead of paying for one machine?

Or at least get a free trial at one and be shown how to use one correctly.

...I agree with this.

What's the point in paying so much money for one machine when you could have access to a Power Plate and loads of other stuff if you just join a gym?

i didn't like going to the gym at first, but now I quite enjoy it. Might be worth seeing what your local ones are like before spending a lot of money on equipment

Do what everyone else does, either pay for the gym and not go
or buy a fitness gadget and use it as a clothes horse...
