from what i remember they'll put you on a softlayer server which is a good thing, i've had a server with them before and never had any downtime but you'll be hosted in america. might be better to find a uk host which will cost a bit more but if you're not bothered about the location then go with 000webhost, it's only a couple of £.

www.fasthosts.co.uk seem to be offering 3 months free hosting, so sign up for the 2gb package and see how it goes, can always upgrade the bandwidth if you receive more traffic

fasthots/ 1&1 / streamline should be avoided.... Constant downtime, crappy CS and a right royal pain to use. They use a custom backend rather than the industry standard cpanel.

Free hosts need to make money so expect adverts on your sites, you can pick up UK hosting from £15 a year, for 500MB space..

Its better to go for a UK host for SEO / google reasons. Google supposedly won't show your site to .co.uk users if you're hosted in the US. It's not been admitted by google though.

UK hosting costs more but you get reliable service and google likes your site better

I had a free US hosting package, when i moved to a uk host, my google ranking has jumped 40% and now have a Google PR1 :-D
