Hi all,got a bit of a problem with my laptop that I'm hoping somone in the know can advise me on.Basically when I do asearch through google and the click on one of the suggestions the search seems to divert off somwhere else coming up with random sites that are not connected to the search result I clicked on,and somtimes windows displays an error message afterwards that says somthing about not being able to use "Host Process" or somthing along those lines.Any ideas? and thanks in advance for any replies.

probably not a virus - probably malware - run ad-aware - its free for the basic version and that should sort you out and then get a decent virus scanner like Nod32

theres your problem.

use better security and you wouldnt have this sort of problem.

almost every single post on here from a user saying they have or think they have a virus is from an AVG user.

doesnt that tell you guys something?

whereas through working in a PC store for 4 years, I had nothing but trouble with it and I stand by my statement about all the virus related posts on here.
AV-Comparatives.org didnt score it in their top 5 in ANY category for products of 2009.

its gone WAY downhill.

but its free, you get what you pay for.....according to some
