Ok, now I recently moved into a flat temporarily over summer and was due my first bill a few weeks ago but never got it. It was only because I went to visit a friend at my old address that I realised that the bills for the new address were sent to the old address and by the time I came back outgoing calls had been barred, I tried paying bill but was informed I was getting a late payment charge, a reconnection charge etc.

I sent a email complaint and never herad back so waited another week and contacted chief executives office who replied a few days later apologising and telling me that they have wiped the months line rental, and reconnected my line to full outgoing and incoming calls.

I was away when the email was sent(Wednesday) and just came back to find I am still getting dialling tone but when I try to dial out it tells me "this number is not regonised"

I however still have my broadband service and a dial tone on phone.

Dial 17070 check that you have the right number. Trying dialing a 0800 does it let you connect? Who do you get your phone from?

Yep it appaers to be doing so, gives the correct number.

EDIT: despite the line rental for this month being refunded the email said the balance was like 20.30 for calls so maybe they have barred me again because of a computer glitch

press one after it reads you the number, does it ring you back? I could look on my computer to see if your TOS billing but I'm not sure if I have access to other regions

just did it a minute ago, was confused though as it said something about "clear down" which i guess means hang up but nothing happened.

If it didn't ring it sounds like you have been TOS'd (taken out of service). Clear down is hang up

Tried ringing from mobile and just gives me disconnected tone.

Have you any way of checking BT accounts? just want to make sure what it is as was going to pay the £20 balance tommorow anyway.

Managed to get through and it was as I thought, they blocked line due to the £20 owed and I just had to pay it and they say it will be reconnected within 24 hours.
