Contact a beauty salon, they do body wraps that take inches off temporarily. Bit of a safer option!

What is the Maple Syrup Diet / Lemon Detox Diet?
Beyonce Knowles gave the Maple Syrup Diet star billing when she said: "I lived on water, cayenne pepper and maple syrup for 14 days", referring to her weight loss of 22 pounds in just 2 weeks for her new film Dreamgirls.

The syrup is made from the sap of maple and palm trees.

Dieters mix the syrup with water, lemon juice and cayenne pepper and drink the mixture instead of eating meals for up to two weeks.

The syrup – which was invented by a Swiss health company in the 1980's - was introduced to Britain five years ago as a detox product. It is already popular across Europe.

In addition to weight loss, the makers of the Madal Bal Natural Tree Syrup claim it provides the following benefits:

* Greater resistance to illness
* Fortified willpower and determination
* Improved concentration and clarity of thought
* Increased energy and vitality
* Clearer skin and eyes
* Shinier hair and stronger nails

Preparation

To make one glass of Natural Tree Syrup and Lemon Drink add the following:

* Two small tablespoons (or 20 ml) of Natural Tree Syrup
* Two tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice
* Half a lemon - use fresh lemons, not lemon drink or concentrate
* Half a pinch of cayenne pepper or ginger - adjust to taste
* Mix the ingredients and dilute with half a pint of hot or cold water and drink away!

There are four versions of the diet:

The Full Detox - where you replace all solid food with the drink for at least 5 days but no more then 14 days.
The Relaxed Version - you replace one or two meals a day with the drink and stay away from wheat, dairy etc.
The Once-a-Week Version - you do the diet one day every week.
The Master Plan - you do it one day a week, plus a Full Detox twice a year.

91bs in 2 weeks, its a lot to lose, do you really need to lose that much??

Cambridge diet, I have lost 14lbs in the first week!! worth it if you have to lose weight short term. Very low calorie, and very restrictive. It's not for everyone, and some can see it as a quick fix... and if thats what you want, It's worth a try.:thumbsup:

i doubt they will let me do the cambridge diet..im sure you have to visit your doc and get approval as its quite extreme...But thats all i need to lose..i wanna get to 9 stone 10lbs..so dont think it works so effective unless you got lots to lose.

TBH, If you only want to fit into a gown for one night, get one that you feel comfortable in, losing 9lbs is that gonna really make a difference?
Just eat healthy and drink plenty of water.xx

I like your thinking:thumbsup:

why don't you try a detox for a couple of weeks, my friend always loses lots when she detoxes.
#24
I have heard you should drink lots of water when you are hungry as it tricks your brain into feeling full.
#25
Drink lots of water or your body will store water and bloat you out.

Gods sake dont take laxatives. You can really harm yourself like that.

The body wrap sounds great for a short term couple of inches loss.

Eat lots of fruit and veg.

Even if you cant exercise, run down the road with the buggy when you'd usually walk, do a few stretches when you wake.

Good luck sweetie x x

If you had a baby in the past year hon this may just be the shape of your tummy muscles atm, nothing to do with dieting.

Try a few gentle tummy exercises x x

I see women kind of 'speed walking' and pushing a buggy so YES you can exercise and be a mum, I've have evidence!
