If you have a friend in the USA get a kindle fire for £90
A little too much of a niche deal for the main section but Amazin are selling refurbished kindle fires for $139.99. The won't ship outside the USA but after conversion it is about £90 delivered which is very cheap. I found it on engadget if my link doesn't work.

Jump to unread Post a CommentFree to most states and you don't pay sales tax unless Amazon have a distribution centre in that state. Maybe the title in a little ambiguous. They don't ship the kindle fire to the UK. You need a friend in the states who you will need to meet in person because the kindle will have been shipped to their house.
But it would have come to £140ish after VAT and delivery through Worldpost.
Yeah, it was only really viable if you have access to an American that you will see soon. My parents in law are coming over from the states tomorrow so there was no way I could get the kindle sent to their house in time. I guess I'll have stick to my nook colour. I really wanted to play with one though! There is a guy selling them on ebay for about £155 delivered from the UK i think.
