hi ive been given an old dell 1100 with no disks and its full of rubbish

how can i factory reset it

Do you have the OS disk for it?

Ctrl and then F11 on bootup might work as it should bring up the hidden restore partition then just follow the prompts

I third that if it doesn't work you may need to do this....

I used that too when I somehow overwritten the partition and it works great. :)
