Have racist views towards Blacks/Asians now switched towards other races?

Used to be Blacks/Pakistanees/Indians etc. Now it seems to be the Polish/Albanians/Iraqis etc. who get the hate from all angles? Any views on this?

English people get just as much abuse, it just doesnt get reported as much.
#2
Prejudice and racial hatred always follows a time of forced intermingling between the races.

Sociologists would say this is the product of racial scapegoating.... I'm not gonna have to explain all that on a sunday am I lol
#3
No...they all still exist
#4
if anything, some cultures are more racist towards the english, and pretty much everyone else, not mentioning any names.

EG: I recently had a conversation with an elderly Jamaican woman who was talking about Polish coming over and taking all the jobs. I had to remind her that exactly the same was said about HER when she came here!

We have to watch when we say things like that, because we once had a British Empire..Take India
We went in took all their goods commodities and valuables not we dont want them.

Right or wrong coz many have British Passports due to this.

Her identity is British now... it's prolly not sensitive to point out otherwise lol

At least it isn't as "institutionalised" as it once was. The Poles were generally treated extremely poorly during their first time here but that was to a different level and intrinsic in our system.

How true, examples are the wrexham riots of a few years ago. I was there and experienced it first hand. Our role, we became the focus of attention for the rioters.

I think the racial abuse against the polish etc isnt as bad as it is against asians and blacks - its more moaning about them ruining the jobs etc

Racism is the belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. In the case of institutional racism, certain racial groups may be denied rights or benefits, or get preferential treatment, while reverse racism favours members of a historically disadvantaged group at the expense of those of a historically advantaged group. Racial discrimination typically points out taxonomic differences between different groups of people, even though anybody can be racialised, independently of their somatic differences. According to the United Nations conventions, there is no distinction between the term racial discrimination and ethnic discrimination.

+1

The sooner we see people as fellow human beings rather than where they are from geographically, what colour their skin is and what religion and culture they follow etc then the sooner we can start to remove intolerance and hatred within society though sadly personally I dont believe this can or will ever happen.

Yes 100%

Different generation of people too be racist at,thats all,

In 70/80s it was asians, now they have integrated and accepted fully(in gerneral) into UK society, there is less prejudice towards them then when I was growing up in the 70s/80s

Eastern Europeans are basically the "new asians" meaning that they are the group of people that the current generation(including whites/asians etc) can be racist to.

Hope that makes sense
