just got ours and im not a happy puppy up another £11.00 a month on last year and our council said they were only putting it up 3%!
band D pricing in S.Wales

we knew it would be more then our last house but flipping heck! i cant even get the bloody council to clean the dog mess up in the street, they cant empty bins when they are supposed to, pot holes nothing done about them, yet they had a massive surplus of over £2bl and still laying off hundreds . Im fuming
and you cant get a police officer out for love nor money! and thats the biggest jump it seems

No wonder people don't work and claim council tax benefit.
#5
not had mine , yet
but been told that the council themselves aren't putting there bit up , but it depends on weather police fire and ambulance want to put there bit up
#6
mines gown down but only by a few quid.
#7
Ours is the same as last year, but services are being dramatically cut.

i just cant see how they can justify it, not even the extra money to fund the police force, my monthy bill now is over £200 a month Ive questioned it and they are adamant its right, all the street have had the same increase, spoke to my neighbour either side and they are the same, terrace 100 year old + houses

Where do you live? Mine has stayed the same at £174/month, this is band E - Lincolnshire, £200 would be a 12 bed mansion!!

sorted! been on the phone to them again complaining how high my bill was yes we are band d but my street got another streets bills. so now my total bill is still up from last year £966.28 this year is now
£1,242.35 = £124 odd a month! glad i hadnt started paying the new bill big difference there. so check your bills if it shot up like mine had ring them ,
No rebate for last year as they messed up when we moved and are sending me the break down so the £180 odd we paid last year was right on the value of the house

Got mine stayed the same - Waveney Area

i see where the difference is now , the post code is wrong. how could i have missed that and the house code reference number is wrong too. that sums up my local council cant even send out the right bills to the right people
#23

i just got mine ! its gone up i worked it out i would be better off on the dole ! would prob be 30 -40 a week better off now thats just wrong !

just a random side but those that aren't having their bins emptied - does anyone one yr street have more than 1 bin that they shouldn't have, mine went missing last year, got a replacement but still hit and miss as to getting it emptied, turns out the bin men will only empty one per house so because someone had swiped my old one and was putting 2 out mine was classed as over so not emptied. I have to make sure I drag mine way down the street where they start emptying first just to make sure it gets done, just thought this may help clear it up as it does get on yr pips

yes hun it is and thats why so many are on benefits these days. theres a woman who lives a couple of doors down who hasnt worked a day in her life nor has her hubby, they get free rent, council tax, cheaper water ( no idea how) yet they have a nice car, nicer house hold items, major holidays every year and to think wee had to work really hard to get the nice things we've got , makes you mad, yes some of it might well be on finance but how can they afford that? we cant.
gotten to the point now that even though im registered as disabled and waiting another back op Im going to have to go back to work part time because the cost of living is getting so high its ridiculous

ours is same but we get less for it now, if only we had a choice where we can shop for servic es, privatise it pleeeeeaaase!!!
