Have you ever been sent something you didnt order ?

Yesterday morning i received a parcel, i wondered what it was as i wasnt expecting anything. I opened it up to find that it was a fancy dress costume (a ladies convict costume wtf?), It came with an invoice with some email address's on it, so i emailed them and got no response. So i googled the name that was on the invoice, and i came to an ebay shop. I have emailed them and i am awaiting response.

I have checked my ebay orders, and there is nothing in there, i then wondered if someone had stole my identity, but then why would they send it to my own home ?

Has this ever happened to anyone on here ? If so what did you do ?

you have contacted the people involved, its now up to them to make arrangements to pick up or pay you to re-send it

you can contact them and give them reasonable time (say 28 days) to do this, or it becomes your property

I don't think you even have to do this anymore, not your problem. Of course if you want to be nice you can.

i heard a similar story to yours and the outcome was that someone had gotten their hold of their details ,did a few small orders to your address and then spent the rest of your credit limit on something but sent it to their address instead as the shop/website they ordered from would accept different delivery address' after 2 or more purchases
Don't want to alarm you but i would contact your bank/credit card just incase

This happened to me once with Overclockers UK.

They sent me the same order twice.

And a few months down the line charged me for it :(

Unfortunately it was like a year ago so to late to do anything. Suppose I should have realised they would charge for £250 worth of stuff :(

I'd ask for £250 back. Seriously that is completely illegal for them to do and the whole point of the unsolicited goods laws is to prevent people sending you stuff you don't want and then charging later. Fair enough if they'd asked for it back! Did they just take the payment again?
