I went over with them 8yrs ago, so tbh it was a bit long ago to tell you the current state lol.

They were ok, cheapest at the time.
Went from Glasgow, and think they have a stop over at London and then over to Toronto.

Canadian Affair books out Thomson and Mytravel planes for anyone wondering. FlyZoom has their own.

Well I've been on them a few times and once the flight out of Gatwick was overbooked so they sent us to Montreal. At Gatwick they just said talk to Air Canada when you get there and they will fly you there. We arrived at Montreal in the evening late with no way to go on to Toronto where we were supposed to fly to! At Air Canada they said Thomson doesn't fly here so we can't help you lol. It was a bit crazy. Thomson didn't actually have a desk there but we managed to get someone from baggage who called to someone else who finally got us a flight to Toronto.

Anyway yeah it was a bit of a headache because Canadian Affair book out the Thomson plane there is no real 'airline' so they don't have proper counters in other airports. Maybe that has changed now - this was two years ago.

Personally I think Cdn Affair and Fly Zoom are as good if not better than Air Canada (and cheaper). The Air Canada planes are total rubbish and old except for the new 777's they have put out on some new routes.

Thomas Cook & My Travel merged last month so all MYT & TCX operations come under the TCX code.

Just reading on wikipedia and Cdn Affair was actually bought by Air Transat in 2006 but according to wikipedia still flies Thomas Cook metal.

One tip I've just picked up while reading Cdn Affair site is that the 757 they fly has 35" seat pitch economy compared to 32" on FlyZoom (and Air Canada). So that would be a good thing to keep in mind. You can pay an extra £30 to get 36" on FlyZoom though.

Yep.. the standard economy seat pitch on a TCX 752 is 35" for North American & Canadian routes.. I don't know with the merger though if they are refitting their 767's to compete with Zoom on capacity but i doubt it.

Not sure if the 2 TCX 753's have 35" seating... i dont think so :? As they normally operate short haul european routes.
