Having problems with my orange m600 phone any suggestions (pls not rude :)

Hi all,

I've got a Orange m600 running windows mobile 5.0, I've had it recently replaced via Oranges exchange program and I'm now off contract.

It was unlocked via orange themselves prior to me coming off contract.

Anyway, the screen on occasions keeps going blank and I also get a message sim error, not sim is detected or saying its not compatitable.

Has anyone else had this problem with their m600?

I've done a soft reset and took the battery out, which seems to work for a short time. Does anyone know if a ard reset will sort this??

I'd like to sell it as I want the new touch screen version but wont do it unless I state that I've had the problem, or solve it with a reset. It could even be the mark space software on it for sync'ing

Any help appreciated

Surely the M600 is touch screen! Mine is.
If you are planning to sell it anyway then you would have to hard reset it before you sold it so you might as well try it now in the hope it fixes the problem.


it is touchscreen, but I find it limited with a mac and I;ve had the m600 model for the last couple of years so I was after some thinking different, a bit of a newer model

hadnt had this problem before with any of the other m600 I've had, or m500 come to that
