in the past 3 days i have had faults with it on wednesday the screen went all black when it came to logging in as a user then on thursday the registry went corrupt and yester and today th screen stays black when it comes to logging in and has the cursor in the middle. its only working in safe mode

Is it a laptop or desktop? Try going to the manufacturers website and downloading the Windows 7 drivers. Graphics cards are usually ATI, NVIDIA or Intel (for laptops).
