Having trouble re-activating lovefilm account.

So i just cancelled my lovefilm account and I'm now trying to re-activate my account but theres apparantly a problem with my card saying

"Sorry - there seems to be an error in some of the information you have supplied.

Your Card Has Failed a Pre Auth Check".

My details have not changed since last time and I re-entered them correct for sure.

Anyone had this problem and know where i'm going wrong? :P. May it be because I just cancelled and I'm not trying to re-activate it?

Alright I'll try that abit later. The lovefilm customer helpline is awful, based in india or something daft and they can't understand you and you can't them lol.

A) Are you sure there is cash/credit on the card you are using? May be a daft question but they need to take about a quid off to check card is valid and then they put it back. B) have you had a new card? Number might be same but expiry dates different. Again daft question but its easily done lol.

Or try elsewhere... LF seem to own most DVD rental services tese days but there must be some they don't. In the past I've had terrible service from them. They even sent me what appears to be a copy but deny this. Look HERE!

Lol, what disc was it? I used to work for Golds who supply a large majority of the retailers/wholesalers and they often put things out on DVD-R if it was a "short run" i.e special interest title, such as fishing etc, just keeps costs down, does'nt mean its a pirate as they own the copyright to it

Did you try more than a few times to enter your details because the same thing happened to me? A few hours later the bank called me up telling me they had cancelled my card due to it being "comprimised".
Could be a coincidence but I'm guessing something went wrong on the pre-auth check (I did try a number of times) and the automated bank anti-fraud systems kicked in and cancelled my card.

Yep... A fishing DVD... It was VERY home made, wouldn't work on 3 of our 4 DVD players (inc PS2). LF gave no explanation of all the copyright ownership, DVDR mullarky. In fact they denied it was DVDr even after I sent them a link to the vid.

Shoddy DVDs nearly as shoddy as their Customer service. Pathetic!

PS... You don't work for LF now do you?:whistling:
