i decided to purchase a Xbox 360 drive to use with my laptop. However i downloaded powerdvd hd and i get and error message saying my graphics card isn't compatible. I have downloaded HD clips from microsoft and they play fine with no lag.

Does anyone know of any software which wil just play the HD content without checking the graphics card?

Your graphics card and graphics driver have to HDCP compliant to play HDDVD movies. This is different from playing free to download HD demo videos.

The problem is not with the player software (incidentally, you have to use PowerDVD 7.3 to get HDDVD playback to work) it's with your Video card or your video card drivers.

I have been trying to get a HDDVD drive, but my local gamestation has sold out. Where did you get yours from?
