After that probe by watchdog a couple of weeks ago they quickly changed there name to Yodel.

Cancelled a wardrobe from homebase cos HDNL missed delivery date, 2 days after cancellation the wardrobe turned up on our doorstep when we were out, just left there cos they couldn't be bothered to put it back in the van. Phoned Homebase who confirmed the order was infact cancelled and asked for HDNL to pick up said wardrobe, turned up a day late to pickup. 3 Days later the wardrobe turned up AGAIN!!! driver wanted to leave it and then rearrange collection with HDNL, not on your nelly I said i'm not signing for it, few phone calls later he took it away for good and havn't seen it since.
HDNL are a joke.

Mine said that and they did deliver, when I was out, lol. Luckily I have good neighbours who take parcels. You have to make allowances for the weather.

Mine took a day after the status was 'on the van' or whatever. My mother has a shop in town and deliveries were made to her fine all week, they are doing their best, you have to remember it's a man in a van doing his job the best he can, if he can't get to your house 'cos of the snow, it's not his fault.

I'm waiting on a few deliveries from Hermes, the man lives 2 minutes away from me, but he can't get his car out of the snow to deliver them, lol. I could make his life easy by knocking on his door and asking for them, but I spent ages clearing my path today so I'll let him appreciate that instead, sometime next week, looooooooooool

PS3 due to be received on 3rd December. Now the 13th and nothing. Amazon say I need to wait 'till 16th as that's the latest they are giving HDNL to pull their finger out of their bum and get a move on!

They are using this weather mallarky as a bullhonkey excuse now - Citylink, UPS, Hermes and Royal Mail have been doing deliveries at my area for the past 6 days - why not HDNL? Hope Amazon get new couriers because these guys are a joke and ruining their reputation!

When I contacted Amazon last week they said they only deal with HDNL for courier deliveries and couldnt switch it to another. I just got an email from Amazon saying the item "was not sent via a trackable method". So, Amazon/HDNL despatch £300 orders in a non-trackable way? Well there's my confidence in both companies now in tatters!

The email states since it cannot be tracked I should wait until 16th Dec at the latest (they told me 13th Dec at latest last week!) and get back in touch. But won't they just despatch it via HDNL again and cause me the exact same grief especially since there is snow forecast for my area from this Thursday to Sunday?

This was a Christmas present - if it isn't received on time it will ruin both my own and the receivers Christmas. I never EVER thought I would have said that about Amazon as they have always given me fantastic service in all my years of shopping with them.

Please Amazon - just look at the watchdog reports and thousands and thousands of complaints logged against HDNL and you'll see your choice of courier is giving you a bad reputation!

Wot the hell this lot about - my parcel (according 2 tracking) was delivered last Thursday and Friday then again 2day. Only one bloody parcel and I still haven't got it!

Now DHL are at it! Stayed in for a delivery yesterday. Thought "this is taking it's time..." so done online tracking. It says "Delayed due to adverse weather". Now, that was yesterday and it was at the Glasgow depot at that stage. I asked a friend who does his own courier jobs and he told me the roads are find all through Glasgow. So then I find out a friend 3 streets away got his DHL delivery just an hour beforehand.

I know these couriers are all swamped but at least be honest about it and dont fu***ng LIE about i or use the weather as an excuse!!!

And of course, today it actually HAS snowed so now I have no chance of accepting delivery likely before xmas as I know this snow will melt and turn to ice over the next few days.

If they are as busy as they say, why not pay their staff overtime to deliver to people between say 6-9pm? Deliver on Sundays? Phone customers to check if a late 9-11pm delivery would be OK etc.
