Hearing Loss?

Hi guys,

This is going to sound strange but.....

Well was sitting next to a gas fire earlier at my house and noticed my ear getting hot my right side was near to the heater, was there for around 20minutes, it felt a bit uncomfy with my heating up but not so much so I had to move myself.

I am just wondering, could this sort of thing cause damage to the ear?

probably melt the wax in your ear. But no it wouldn't. I went to a gig once where my ear bled. Now that was hearing damage.

You could have melted the wax in your ear and it might have ran in to your inner ear.
If this happens then yeah, you probably will feel a little deaf.
Pushing lit matches into the ear should sort it out though.

Hearing should be OK unless your earwax goes on fire. :p

Stupid question of the week award goes to.....

If your sitting next to a fire, with a hot ear, with some discomfort, and you're concerned about it causing damage, then err, move!
