Help.. :(

I'm filling in an application form... they've asked why i left my old jobs... first one is simple for uni...

the other... I left as the other staff were.... annoying(!)
... so... one day they p-d me off to the max and I walked out... to then receive a text message from my boss saying not to come in to work the next day... so I just never returned. Not that I intended to...

I just don't know what to write in a simple term as to why I left... without sounding lame.. :(

thanks in advance. :)

Just write that you resigned as the job is not what you wanted to do any longer and found something else.

You may hope they don't ask your last employer for a reference

if you want to b honest you can say you didnot enjoy the work environtment or the work environment is not stimulating, not prospective etc

or you can say you just need new challenge (avoid this if youre applying for a similar job!)...

You best bet then would be to rip up the application form and look for a completely different job.

Don't think employers are allowed to give "negative" references anymore

they aren't... I know I was a good worker, turned up on time, done extra shifts, I even worked from 11am-2am once! I just didn't appreciate the new chef's attitude to the 'pretty' girls that were new compared to staff that had been there for agesssss. :(

well you always can say the you did not enjoy the previous work environment.

but be prepared to be asked what it meant. when this happened you have to be careful in explaining what happened so that they dont get the impression its you who have interpersonal skills problem ... now you dont want that do you?

I'll be able to explain that they employed new staff and stuff....
I think the place has a bad name... all the decent staff left for uni... like my sister! haha and the girl i mentioned earlier... she's only a temp at the new place...

oke then... gudluck with your application, i know you can do it!

Tell them you simply had a disagreement with your last boss.

You though he was a ****** - and he disagreed.

Technically you were not fired - so they cannot say that - as texting someone is not the specified procedure to dismiss someone in any part of employment law.

I bet they failed to ever send you your contract within the time they were meant to.

Ask the, for it now - as legally you are entitled to it - and you can use that as leverage if it looks like you might get a bad reference.

I had a similar problem - but from the university I went to - it was such a lousy university, to hide i went there, I just say I was in prison at that time.

just put "temporary", that's what i do. if you were doing it while at college or knew that you were going to uni, then it could easily be classed as a temporary job.

I think I could have complained to somewhere about how he sacked me... but that felt like hassle!
he even threatened to take me to court as HE over paid me! and refused to give me the leaving form untill I repaid him... which I did... in pennies and 2p's :D to then get a snotty letter claiming i gave him too few! eventhough the money was outside of the pub! as £60 worth of pennies and two's is quite alot! he nearly hit me when i gave him the money as I refused to let him have the coppers unless he gave me the slip. Shows how much of a ***** he really is for fighting over £60!!!!!
Glad I'm not there now! :)

You were having a hard time? And were being given racial discrimination?
Or, you were being treated unequally.

i'd say treated unequally is fair. I got loooooads of shifts as i worked hard. The tarty girls moaned about it so they discriminated me for working hard.
