ok, ive got some vdeo files i need to put onto a dvd and be able to watch in a dvd player, cant seem to find a decent program to do it, anyone know a good one?

Nero is good for this sort of thing, as long as you don't want anything too complex.

shrink with dvdshrink if originally coming from a dvd, then convert and burn to disk with a combination of winavi video convertor and nero

Don't know about the sizes or formats you are talking about, but I have found it quite easy to use windows to "copy this file" and burn it to a cd (not dvd) and just whack the cd into the dvd player.

that doesn't work on most dvd players. most don't suport divx (which is the most common file format)
