Serious question:

I have someone landing in the UK in about three week's time, he wil be staying in Bucks. This person has never travelled abroad before and has been working in sales for a local store (it) for the last three years. Any advises on what places he can initially apply (as in is it easier to find jobs in stores such as PC world, argos or major chains) to enable him to land on his feet before he can move on to a more carrier oriented job ?

2nd: Anything in particular that he needs to pack for himself

tell him to create a CV and just go job hunting around town, go into every store and ask for jobs, altho I think he will need a national insurance number first before he applies for jobs

I employ a lot of overseas staff from agencies. So he should have a look in Bucks for the type of agency that recruits for his job type.

The best Xmas jobs to tide him over are Royal Mail, Marks & Spencers (recruiting now, so he should e-mail his cv) and Boots.

Also, he needs travel money, so a months bus pass or train pass, plus food expenses.

i reckon argos will start hiring soon, as well as high street shops for xmas temps. I know next take on temps

Most of the big high street retailers are looking for xmas temps right now (or have already hired)
