Buy yourself a blindfold and some ear muffs at same time though.

If you want a boring sensible answer, I'd go to WHSmiths and get books (Last time I looked they had some pretty good deals on some of the hardbacks), or you could always pick up a couple of cheapish DVDs. Bigger presents? Sign em up for a magazine subscription (buy them a recent copy of the mag with a cover note saying what you've got them). :santa:

Could you go into a Hawkins Bazaar? It has lots of great idea's for stocking fillers - and lots of nostalgic items too. Might be worth a look if you have one near you.

Also I find that many adults don't really know what they want any more - and vouchers might sound thoughtless - but at least they can get something they really want when they want. My parents save up vouchers every year now to buy something for the home. (They choose B&Q) I always choose Next vouchers.

I signed my father in law up for a Top gear Magazine subscription last year.
