well i bought a tesco sofa bed and put mine on ebay buy it now..well there were 7 watchers within an hour and then it sold thursday evening.
I have sent an invoice and sent two more emails asking when the seller can collect but no response. I have used the 'find contact details' 3 times and no email as i would have rung the seller.
The other thing is i have had 2 more buyers wanting it.
What would you do? what should i do?

if you leave it 4 days and then use the 'buyer hasn't paid for the item' you can cancel the transaction.
Then sell it to one of the others, dont' relist it through ebay though, just let the buyer come pick it up, pay cash.

I'm not saying the second person will mess you about, but if you list it through ebay and then let them pick it up, they 'could' say they've never received it and ebay would find in the favour of the buyer! (don't mean to put you off, just trying to hep out)

How is it risky? Less risky than using paypal/ebay.

Always get cash on collection - NEVER paypal and collection (people can claim it was never received as you have no proof it was the account holder who came and collected the item).
I hope you get it sorted soon.
In the past, and probably now, you can request the contact details of a buyer and then you could give them a ring and ask them when they want to collect it.

i think the risky bit is the collection part. if they are paying cash on collection then I think thats ok but if they pay via paypal the could put in a claim saying item not received and you would have no proof that they collected it.

I would go to the next buyer that is interested.
Theres nothing else you can do with this person not getting back in touch with you and understandably you want it gone asap.
All you can do is explain this to the first buyer when ever you can get a hold of them.

hi, sorry i didn't explain properly...

.... if i buy something from you and collect it, i can still claim you saying i've never received it (as you've no proof), there's been a few claims whereby someone's collected and then ebay have refunded them too as they've initiated a claim, ebay don't have the option in the claim section for uplift, they ask the seller for the tracking ref!!

It stinks, i know, but there's some horrible people that use this to their advantage.

If you already have someone interested, just let them collect it and pay you....
I've never had this happen to me. Anyone that's collected anything from me, the transaction has always been fine, but just making you aware...

Agree with the others, cash on collection is far safer. There have been many a tale on here of Paypal buyers taking away TVs etc then the seller getting scammed for a refund.

If it is a Paypal buyer, ask him for photo ID, get him to sign for the item and get his car reg too. Agree this with him/her before he visits to avoid misunderstanding. If he says no then he/she is dodgy...

i was paid paypal once and the buyer collected a £6 item..then told me they were not happy and wanted a refund or they would leave me neg feedback lol
the buyer had marked the item herself. So many silly buyers and so many scammers and scams.
Years ago ebay was a trust site (bit like this fs section) now its full of idiots unfortunately and ebay/paypal dont help the situation.
