we bought a tomy one for my son, its brill cos there is only a small gap at either end if the bed, the gap at the bottom is just big enough for him to get out but not that big for him to fall out during the night. we have used this for him for the past year and he has not fallen out once. we bought it from argos but toys r us do them as well.
hope this helps

hi thanks is it just held down by the matress?

We had the soft fabric one as well it had winnie the pooh on it and was by either Tomy or Lindam, sorry can't remember which. It said not for cot beds but it fitted fine. The frame slides under the mattress and hooks up behind so it never moved.
I found ours in TK Maxx for £14

we have a cot bed and the tomy one doesnt fit ours properly because there is a ridge all the way round to stop the mattress from sliding off the base I think, the tomy one needs to be sitting flat on the base of the bed so if yours has wood that sticks up past the base then its no good for your cot bed, not sure about any of the other brands though, hope that helps:thumbsup:

I did read somewhere that the cot bumpers are not considered suitable for newborns, if thats what you 're going to have

We purchased a foam bed guard that goes under the sheet and it does the job brilliantly. Our 18 mth old just moved to a bed but due to the style the 'old' style bed rails did not fit. We tried the foam one as a long shot & were glad we did, so much easier & a lot less hassle than putting a rail into place all the time - also a lot cheaper! Got ours from purpledaisiesltd on Ebay, £13.50 delivered.
