up to you james, I dont like to pick new singing such as Narsi, because you dont know if he wil start every game or if he will even do well in the premiership. Cahill is a bargain btw.

I would keep Lampard in though and Berb for sure. Good luck anyway:thumbsup:

A first choice striker, who has had a team built around him, he has Dyer, Faubert, Behrami, Parker, Noble, Ljungberg & Bellamy to feed him

He's going to get goals next season and only costs 3.5 Milion
#15
ok cheers, will probably go for a mix between yours and redirons

I've always like Ashton since his Crewe days, I am a little biased yes but he has been scoring for fun since he overcome his injury here's his last games

V MLS All Stars 2 Goals
V Colombus Crewe 1 Goal
V Hampton & Richmond 2 Assists

V Villa 1 Goal
V Man Utd 1 Goal
V Newcastle 1 Goal

So thats 6 goals and 2 assists in his last 6 games, albeit 3 were friendlies but it shows he is back to his best

friendlies don't mean much.

No but it shows that he is fully over his ankle injury, the final 3 games of last season shows that he is back to his goal scoring best and I would expect hm next season to get 15-20 goals not including any penalties he may take

Modric, bent,.... oh screw it... just all the spurs team... :whistling: .... oh and maybe defoe... =)

Modric - Unproven - not worth the gamble especially when Wenger thinks he will be too light weight for the Premiership

Bent - not going to be a starting regular only scored 6 in 27 last season

You can only have two players from each team aswell

Defoe - probably would be a good buy, I think the little and large partnership with Crouch next season will be very good. I'm not too sure though as Harry has a lot of strikers, Defoe, Crouch, Kanu, Nugent, Sahar, Utaka and subotic pushing through so playing time could be limited for Defoe especially if Harry ends up favoring a Kanu and Crouch combo
#24
ok here it is

James 5m Portsmouth

Bosingwa 3m Chelsea
cesscott 5m Everton
Carragher 6m Liverpool
Hutton 4m Totenham

Cahill 4.5m Everton
Elano 4m man city
Lampard 8m Chelsea
Malbranque 3.5 Totenham

Defoe 5.5 Portsmouth
Bellamy 1.5 West ham

Not bad, not too sure about Malbranque though, I think if you can free up 2 million you should put Ashley Young in instead, or another 1.5 million for Downing or Nani

Maybe drop Carragher £6 Million for Dunne £4 Million or Glen Johnson for £4, Anton Ferdinand for £3 million isn't bad either considering he is in the starting 11 and chips in with goals

Dunne plays for City

Anton had a few knocks last season and his court case so missed a fair bit, still got two goals though and a few assists which is always a bonus when your defenders chip in

He'll be first choice alongside Upson next season
#29
nah dunne isn't there, whats the abbreviation?

who else midfield can i get for 3.5?

Giggs is getting old, not really worth it in my opinion

Nolan - Gets lots of games real battler and will et you 5 goals a season but probably not nymore

Benayoun is quality but he's at Liverpool so playing time may be limited, though it is rumoured he will be leaving

Johnson should get plenty of games at City but he is still only Young so prone to the dip in form young players usually have. Also i'm unsure of what City's plans are so he may not be part of the first choice XI

N'Zogbia is quality but he wants to leave Newcastle, Arsenal or Tottenham are his preferred destinations but I don't think either are in for him. He will be moving clubs this summer so he can be closer to home (He wants a London team so he can fly to France easier) I wouldn't rule out him returning to France so wouldn't bother with him

Dos Santos is young and unproven, also Tottenham have about two thousand midfielders so i'm not exactly too sure where he will play that's even if he does have a large role this season. Barca also don't sell their best youngsters so he is probably not worth it again. Could be a wild card though

Behrami is sheer class but like Dos Santos unproven in the Prem, he plays at both RB and RW and is better at both than West Hams first choice RB and RW so he should play in nearly every game this season. Wanted by Liverpool and a few other big teams so there is something there with him, like Dos Santos could be a wild card

Scott Parker - Had a few injury problems last season, generally an injury prone player. When he isn't injured he is great but probably not worth the risk thinking about his past injury record.

I would personally have Behrami or Dos Santos as a wild card as they can earn you some real points. If you want safety though take Nolan.
#34
what code is Behrami?? thanks for the help btw

No problems, just don't blame me if your team ends up failing miserably :p

In The Sun dream team Behrami is a midfielder number 768

It's all swings and roundabouts though as you never know who will sign who. I wouldn't choose my team based on what teams scored what points last season. You need to look at the players really as a quality player will earn you points wherever he plays
#38
you get points from all the leagues so i need to really go for the top team to maximise points
#39
ok this is what i've just done any of these guys who wont be playing/that good?

James Portsmouth 5m

ferdinand manu 7.5m
bosingwa chelsea 3m
senderos arsenal 3.5m ??????notsure
chimbonda totenham 2.5m ??????notsure

makelele chelsea 2.5m ??????notsure
cahill everton 4.5m
elano man city 4m

In theory

The problem with big squads though is the teams rotate players so say for example I think say Ashton at West Ham or Johnson at Fulham will get more games than Keane at Liverpool even though Keane will also be competing in the CL and Liverpool would be expected to go further in both cups

It's just finding the right balance, you need a few players from the big clubs but they have to be the untouchables;

Gerrard, Fabregas, Lampard, Ronaldo

It's also worth considering that a goalkeeper doesn't need resting as much so say Peter Cech will play in most of Chelsea's games next season so will play in a lot more games than say Paul Robinson.

Also don't forget that the big teams always play weakened squads in the Carling Cup and FA Cup right up until the latter stages (take Arsenal playing a reserve team against Tottenham in the Carling Cup semi final for instance)
