Looking for a little help with a ebay purchase.

It was for a mobile phone housing and keypad on a buy it now, I purchased it several days ago and when I recieved the item it had the casing but not the keypad.

Contacted the seller and after a few days he has replied that I should send it back and they will organize a replacement and/or refund.

There are two parts firstly, I dont think I should have to post anything back at my cost due to their error/incompetance. Secondly if I send it back without creating any kind of dispute I must be putting myself at risk.

Can anyone advise on any of this?

Thanks

Start a paypal dispute now. It will then ask you to send the item back (recorded for the proof) and then you can get a refund. If you don't start a paypal dispute there will be risk involved.

You have to stump up the cost for postage unfortunately.......also need to send it recorded incase you have to open a dispute with paypal about it.

Thats what I've been trying but something to do with they need to send the whole thing back to the supplier - its seems weird. Might just keep it without the keypad as cant be bothered posting back etc..
