Help finding a gym kit please :-)

Well i signed up to the gym today and have decided that i need a new gym kit. i have had a look around but all that seems to be available are like really really short tight shorts, now there is a reason that i am going to the gym and that is to loose weight this makes me feel very self-conscious as i dont want to wear so short shorts! So i need some longer shorts and prehaps a vest top or a t shirt, what would be better? Also i have 34DD boobs so would anyone recommend me a decent sports bra please? (i have around £50 max to spend in total)

thanks

The best sports bra I've found is Shock Absorber, but they're not cheap so that alone will probably take up between £25-£30.

As for the rest, I just wear cropped jogging bottoms, or the full length ones and just a plain t-shirt (I got both my bottoms from New Look for between £8-£10 each and a few normal, plain t-shirts from Dorothy Perkins for a fiver each)

Being as all you do is get all sweaty in the stuff, I figured it didn't need to cost a fortune and be top of the range :-D

i work in jdsports and we sell a range of gym wear called Pure, its made for the more self consious ladies, comes longer and baggier but still very well made, and its ALL in the sale just now so tops from around 4.99 and three quarter lengths from about 12.99

worth a try if u really dnt wanna wear shorts

I bought my last lot of gym clothes in sports direct and jd sports. it's a great time to go out looking in the sales right now.

shock absorber are the best, but i would say when you get a bra - try it on, and get a tight fit! it reduces bounce and if you lose a few pounds or more in the first few weeks you don't need to replace it immediately.

I have bought a sports bra from m&s too - which was very good. very supportive with nice wide straps, and hook and eye fastening like a bra - rather than the over your head types which can be difficult to get off.

get yourself a decent sports bra and some decent trainers - then go cheap on the jogging bottoms and t shirt - and don't forget some sports socks - to draw moisture away from your skin and avoid blisters if you are running or rowing etc.

Well done for joining the gym and good luck with your weight loss

Hi iLL I am an F/G cup. It really depends on the bra you get doesn't it. I got my one a couple of years ago - and i can't find the same one again.

This one is quite reasonable in price, and looks very supportive. Has a couple of good reviews too. http://www.additionsdirect.co.uk/rf/add/p.do/non-wired-sports-bra?Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&SNtt=sports+bra&groupId=504240226&Nu=this_product&SNtk=generic_search&Np=1&SN=104+85&Ntt=504240226&D=504240226&Ntk=group_search&Dx=mode%2bmatchall&thisprod=504240226&N=104+85&Nty=1&Mis_item_id=15&Mis_item_loc_id=1&product=504240226#reviews-link
