Ok, looking for some help getting a warranty repair on our tv that is out of warranty.
Its an LG 42"plasma, purchased from Great Universal in Feb 2007
It developed a fault of 'red snow' and was reported in july/aug 2007 to LG and GU.
LG said they would inspect the TV if we packaged it correctly, and it had to be done right or their carrier wouldnt take it.
Now, who keeps a 42" tv box in their house? We have no room and no way to package it up.
They refused to send an engineer out, so we complained to GU. Many times
Via phone calls and email. No matter what we said they wouldnt help and told us to contact LG.
They did promise to send packaging materials, but they never arrived and each time we phoned we were basically starting from the begining.
The fault is now getting to the point of really ruining our tv viewing and console gaming.
Im sure i still have a ref LG gave us when we originally reported the fault so im sure they cant deny its not a fault they are liable to fix.
I just want the right information to use to make sure i get them to fix the tv at no cost to us.
What can i quote..consumer law wise...to ensure i get decent service.
I am prepared to get the tv packaged some way or another if need be, just as long as they fix the tv.
So what do i say..how do i say it?
