You need to Google and install something called thdudf.inf so Windows can recognise the drive properly.
To play back HD-DVD content you will need something like CyberLink Power DVD

Yep you need the latest Cyberlink dvd software but beware despite me having a good monitor it refused to let me use it claiming its not hdcp compliant(though I meet all the specs)

mmmm - so may not work on pc as informed

iirc the latest version of powerdvd doesn't play hd-dvd but v7 does. i seem to remember reading somewhere that they'd removed support from the very latest version

I can play HD-DVDs fine on my laptop and through my 360, but not from my laptop to my plasma. Both my graphic card and TV are HDCP compliant and connected via DVI.

Found a program called AnyDVD HD which I might try later, it err... removes the handshake if you know what I mean :whistling:
Shame it's only a 21 day trial though.

The only software I know of that can playback HD-DVDs are PowerDVD and WinDVD, both are commercial programs.

If you want to play them on ur pc you will need to get it working in windows first, then get the power dvd software. If you have hdcp errors then you need to download ANYDVDHD and use that to remove the copy protection. Then your all set.
