hi first thing you want to do is boot in to safe mode. keep pressing f8 as your pc boots and select safe mode when you see it. also turn off system restore. next run this http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2003-081819-3333-99

once thats finished do a scan and see if its still there. run a scan with ad aware. it may also be a good idea to run hijack this and post a log on a security forum. back up every thing important in case you ever have another problem. nortons crap aswell, go for avg or nod32.

This is good for that :

There's a spyware/virus forum on there (a search will point you in the right direction). If you post your hijackthis log file there, somebody will take a look for you.

I'd also say that running ccleaner after removing whatever is causing your problem would be a good idea ( a Google will give you the url)

Do not turn off system restore, a bad restore point is better than no restore point.

Take a trip here http://wiki.castlecops.com/Malware_Removal_and_Prevention:_Overview

follow the tips. They will get you sorted.

Hope this helps.
