Help if anyone can- Dixons TV situation

i ordered the LG 42" LCD TV from dixons on christmas day. I was expecting delivery of it on the 29th. Called them on the 29th and they told me it had been cancelled and my funds would be back in my bank in 3-5 days. I wanted to buy the samsung 50" plasma from JL today but could not due to not having enouh money in the bank. Is there anyway i can say to Dixons i want them to sell me the same TV plus the 5 years warrenty do i have a legal stance or not ...

No sorry not a dickie bird you can do about it. They have many safe guards in their T&Cs. As long as they refund you within 30 days they are well within their rights. One of the problems with dealing with online retailers. I found this out when i had a similar problem with Empireidrect and it took me 7 days to get a refund.

You can always ask them, but they are not legally obliged to do so. :)

I'm having problems with them too - ordered a laptop Christmas Day with their 10% off promo - cancelled on Sat 27th, re-confirmed this on Mon 29th with customer service after order still showing in progress - emailed summarising cancellation - they outlined had been cancelled - but then they took payment on 29th from my debit card and supposeably attempted to deliver it today and left card - in all day no card! muppets!
