Does anyone know where to buy SHED for reasonable or cheap price on the Internet or from the shop compare to B&Q (there prices are high)

Also, please tell me whether to buy a Wood Shed or Metal one. Some people say that Wood one is easier to built and some people say that Metal one is better to maintain. I'm so confused and if some can can please help me here or give me the right direction.

The SHED will mainly be used for storage purposes, therefore, doesn't want to spend too much for fancy stuff.

I would appreciate the help in advance

cheers

I bought a 6X4 metal shed from Tesco for £109 a couple of months ago. It was the pent roof which just slopes back which is okay but limited head room. Took 6 hours to assemble though, and you will need another pair of hands to do it. Hundreds of screws and little rubber washers!
It does mean that there is no maintenance each year. The doors being the trickiest bit, and when complete does look okay. Saw an apex roof one on offer in Homebase for £99 but dont know if it is still on...

We checked loads of places online but ended up going for a fully built (6 ft x 3ft 6 inches) for £349 from a local place. Best thing we ever did. We had a metal shed and one of the plastic ones and both were destroyed by high winds, the metal one especially. The metal ones are nice but very thin and flimsy and don't stand up to extreme conditions (or even a kid falling against them lol).
Hope that helps

Just don't leave anything expensive in, whichever you get.
I locked my padlock key in mine last week I hadn't paid much attention to security tbh but when I looked to get my key out, all I had to do was unscrew the hinges. Took 5 mins to get key out and replace hinges.

Hi, I bought a 6'x7' shed for £126.99 from Argos a few months ago, great price and wasn't to hard to assemble.

thanks for the advise mosskeeto :

I'll look into Tesco Direct but you recommend Metal one over wood one ?

I missed the offer of £99 of the Homebase one and now it's back to £169.99 price. there was a problem with their web site on the last day of the sale when I tried to place an order and the web site worked back again at 12:45 am hence missed the deal price

Hopefully nothing with four legs and a long tail will enjoy building nests in the nappies, while partying on crisps:shock:

Mine went out on an allotment so I really didnt want to be going out there re coating the thing every year and worrying about the felt etc. If its going in the garden it can be better as you can paint the thing any colour you like to blend in .. your choice. Other thing was, I have had cheap wooden sheds and after a year or two the strips start to twist and in come the bugs, mice and cold. With the metal at least they stay pretty sound. I did have to fix a few wood strips round to hand stuff on but other than that pretty pleased with it.

hi there buy a metal one you build them on a flags base, shop around all over especially at wilkinsons and even littlewoods or additions. Yes wooden is great but needs looking after and maintaining and over the years will rot if not taken care of.

Put it this way in my garden which is communal there is two wooden and one metal which is mine and they got broken into the other month however they didnt get in mine but got straight in the wooden ones. A metal one will last for life a wooden one needs looking after and maintaining your choice though.:-D
