happened to me before. nothing much you can do other than reformatting your system and it'll fix it. just stop using IE and maybe use firebox along with opera as your browsers.

Yeah opera rocks, I'm on Linux so can't use IE .... imagine that IE for linux:w00t::w00t: hehe.

But firefox works fine when I need to edit a page on ebay.

It depends which version of windows you are using..but one thing for sure-you need to tune up your system, cos it seems to me your pc has registry errors and stuff like that. I would suggest to run AusLogics Boost Speed or TuneUp Utilities. Both can be found for free on Pirate Bay.
99% your IE will be fixed,as well as other problems .

registry mechanic is a great clean up tool too.

 ???

We need more info. Are you running vista? If so, there is a fix for IE crashes which you can find with help from google. It is also worth looking at your add-ons as someone pointed out above. A lot of cr*p gets added on without your knowledge that can interfere with IE performance. I would disable anything you don't need, for example all the skype add-ons, etc. I used to have a similar problem with IE but it is now resolved. Btw, IE also tends to crash easily when multi-tasking if you are running low on memory. What are your specs?

you have cleared the browser cache?
