Mods please remove if this is not ok

More than 400 people were screened at the Donor session on Thursday 11th December! This was an amazing turnout and exceeded our expectations, resulting in a lot of people being turned away unfortunately!

We are holding a 2nd Donor session at Nelson Fire station on 2oth January or you can have your sample taken and sent individually from the forms filled out at Burnley.

Same here, I gave blood for over 20 years, sadly can no longer give........
Reading stories like this brings it home how important it is to be a donor.

Thanks to all who forwarded the link (which has been updated now). A match was found in the US and the transplant took place but Julie contracted a virus shortly afterward which she wasn't strong enough to fight.
