HELP??? Laptop not finding SATA hard drive

Model number is - NX9420
Installing - XP Pro

You put the windows CD in, it doesn't recognise the hard disk because it is SATA and not IDE. It asks you if you want to install the drivers (during the windows blue screen setup) and when I say yes, the floppy kicks in (drivers on there) and then says 'line one of the inf file on*txtsetup.oem was invalid, set up cannot continue'

anyone had this prob before?

Does your laptop support IDE and Sata? :S?

In the bios disable the setting for SATA support. XP will then detect the hard drive and install normally.
