Help: Lost Game in the Post

Hi guys, I sold Final Fantasy 9 the other week on ebay for £23 and posted it the next day. The guy still hasn't recieved the game (bearing in mind I posted on the 10th of december), what should I do? Paypal have already issued a refund from my paypal account, meaning I have negative funds in my account! So at the moment I'm £23 down and without the game!

I'd tend to agree but in this case it's royal mail that's at fault for not delivering the game.

I think you are pretty much shafted then. Although Royal Mail dont make it easy to claim, I have done it a couple of times and they have paid up in the end. without proof of postage i doubt you would be able to claim.

im on the phone with them now and they have other ways for me to prove it, i.e date of postage, reciept of postage, payees address etc. so hopefully i should be ok but it'll probably take ages

Correct, but i think you get a much lower level of compensation compared to recorded.

Royal mail dont make it easy - trust me. They'll say they will contact you up to 16 weeks. They never do so you contact them (again), any calls/emails between the 16 week gap you'll just be told to wait. Phone call/email after email and eventually in a couple of months you may get a refund. Good luck ! rather you than me mate, a long, frustrating process
