I decided to have a little clearout as I'm planning a Car Boot sale next week. I uncovered some real forgotton gems along with loads dust to go with it.

As an Asthma sufferer me and dust clearly don't get on... I woke up this morning to a horrible runny nose and compulsive sneezing. I feel like pants!!!

I can't stop sneezing.. I've blown my nose so many times today its now all red and sore
:(
So I thought Id come on here and moan about it... LOL

Anyone know how I can try and rid of me snuffles?

Aww poor you hun.
I get exactly the same if I'm in contact with dust and its horrible. Try having a hot shower or bath and steam it out of your system.
I'm actually in the same boat today as I'm recovering from the flu! Iwas so poorly yesterday, don't think Ive ever felt so sick before

Are we married to the same person? either that or my hubbys got a clone!

Yesterday my husband was sun bathing in the back garden and I was lying on the sofa with my pjs on, a big fluffy dressing gown and 2 duvets and I was still freezing cold and dithering.
On the plus side I feel slightly better today though.
He must have felt sorry for me though as he's bought me a box of thorntons on his way back from work

I was almost convinced that we were both married to the same man until I read the abit about your OH bringing you chocolates home. My OH wouldnt even think of the idea :p:(

A friend of mine used to suffer from that. She swore by senakot and prune juice. Said it cleared her up almost immediately.

The trick was to go for a walk about 6 hours after taking 4 pills and drinking the whole cart - especially somewhere far away from traffic, and toilets.

I have asthma and am allergic to dust mites, if it's just your nose that's affected consider the Lloyds Pharmacy allergy reliever that you shove up your nose. I find it gives instant relief, and only £14.99

I know the two are related however I only suffered from mild skin irritation as a child, when my Asthma was in its peak. I've actually more or less grown out of the Asthma, its only triggered by allergic or distress nowadays. Although my skin can be quite tempremental at times.

most of my takings came from the 50p £1 items, 3 books for £1 went well, although brought plenty back with me, and videos for 50p went surprisingly well too. A great way to de clutter. Keep it low, but price a little above what you want to allow room for barterers.

Thanks for your advice. Ive tried my best to keep prices as low as possible... Alot of my stuff is new and still in its original packaging. I'm hoping people can see that I'm not actually selling tat but some real good items at bargain prices. Should be an experience if not anything else!

I am exactly the same when it comes to dust - its awful when you go to someones house and start sneezing, you can hardly say "I am allergic to dust"

I echo the advice of a long hot bath or more preferably a shower, it will be in your hair etc

Hope you feel better soon

I wreckon a hot shower is on the cards for tonight. ;-) In fairness it is really hard to get rid of dust, the damn stuff just moves about when you clean and re-settles again! Maybe I should live in some kinda anti - allergy space suit! :w00t:

Yeah but where is the fun in that - wet dust or use slaves, I mean children to do it, fair enough they clean the same bit over and over but they eventually get it done thoroughly

Yeah keep that in mind and in the meantime I have two willing volunteers I could hire out lol

Don't pay them too much though or they will expect it when they get back - I usually pay in cornettos

Seriously though just get all the dust out of your hair, skin and nostrils (sounds disgusting I know) and you should feel loads better

The things you do for cornetto's huh? lol

Thanks for the advice... I'll have a hot shower after dinner, hopefully that should work :)
