Lemme ask my husband he's from Florida and he's good with snakes....
#3
I have a large python....

Oops, wrong forum!
#4
hi hon.. hubby's first response was " it's not poisonous"

lemme see if he can tell me how to catch it
#5
he said, best way would be to put a live mouse in its cage and see if it comes back when its hungry....

Im guessing you wont have a live mouse...

sorry typing this as he talks to me!
#6
sorry all this stuff he's saying.. blah blah.. same as a rat snake or a milk snake... what do you feed it?

He says it will come back to wherever it expects you to feed it.

I said, what if she doesn't have a mouse? He said... you better go get one! Grrr men arent helpful!
#7
you obviously know how to handle it though if you find it... it should come back of its own accord when it gets hungry sweetie x x

he said unless you look everywhere it could possibly be, youre not likely to find it because they can get into very small areas

I asked if its dangerous to babies because of your avi and he said no it cant eat a baby a baby is too big

he said turn on the heat lamp in the cage it may come back to the warmth.. it might be feeling cold

and are you SURE it isnt there? as they hide really well

hope it comes back soon for you!!

My missus keeps Corn Snakes x 3 and she says if u tie string around a mouse and nail it to somwhere like a wall when the snake eats it it will obviously be stuck to the wall ~(dunno how effective this is and u will have to keep checking the mouse and change daily, its a pain but may work!?) (the string will not harm the snake either).

All 3 of ours have escaped, I leave the house till they are found. I hate em, I'm a bit like Indy Jones, handsome, dashing and afraid of snakes. Not keen on Nazis neither

I'd be just like you.

In florida we find them sleeping in the sun on the porch... they love the heat.

Black snakes make me jump cos they move so frikkin fast and the amount of times we've had to catch them in pillowcases to get rid of them...

When my hubby is home he will pick them up and move them for us... I tell him... GET IT OUT THE HOUSE!!

This was on Google :

One thing we tried that work really well was a bottle trap. We took an empty, 2-Liter soda bottle. Cut it in half and put the top part down into the bottom part like a funnel. Before that though, sorry, we took small strips of plastic (or cardboard), about 15-20 strips about 2 inches long and taped them around the mouth of the bottle (like you would be extending the funnel) and put a frozen-thawed pinky mouse (or whatever size prey your snake is eating) in the bottom. Then we put the two pieces together with the top inverted. The idea is, the snake is lured to the trap by the prey, squeezes into the bottle and can easily push past the plastic strips. But once his is inside the bottle and has eaten, the strips are facing the other way and are too close together to get in between so he can't get out. I hope that makes sense.
Another thing we did once to track where a snake was going, was to sprinkle baking soda in areas we thought he would hide. That way, you could see his tracks if he went through it and could get a better idea of where he was going and how often.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

They seem to be bragging about there services, give em a problem to sort lmao

Try a hot water bottle over it's hide, or a low box (ie cereal). the heat should attract it.

thats a good idea

Oh and hubby said a snake can eat pretty much constantly if you allow it to and if you put food in its cage it will go for it x x

Oh god, would plop me up as well lol....pull everything out of 1 room at a time and search then find a way to block off the room one by one by shutting the door and some wood across the bottom of each door so couldnt get back in.
