help my friends son has made the display on her pc go 90 degrees???

My friend has just phoned me to say her son has made the screen display turn round 90 degrees, she's tried turning it off but it din't wotk, does anyone know how to right it please?

Right click the mouse ont he desktop screen and click "graphics options", "rotation" then "normal". My daughter is always doing it to mine

I right click and it just says arrange icons, refresh, paste, paste shortcut, new and properties.
where on the desktop?

Mine did this last week took me hours to sort it and still unsure where I found the answer.

I found something that said restore settings from a few days ago, clicked yes and it re-booted the computer and all was back to normal.

It did warn me I would lose any information saved from a few days ago, but hey my neck was getting sore by this point.

Sorry missed out a step, should be graphics options, rotation, then normal or 180 degrees

It may vary slightly depending on the graphics card that's installed, there's usually a shortcut to the feature which is what some people accidentally trigger.

Think only certain graphic cards to it, though not really sure what use it actually is :? unless you need to see your monitor upright while lying on your side, for what ever reason :whistling:

There's various uses. The obvious one is if you have a projector mounted from the ceiling. In this case you'd need the display rotated upside-down as the projector would be mounted upside-down. :thumbsup:
