Hi, i bought a pc posted on here from john lewis

However im looking for a new flat panel monitor to go with it. However i know that some computers have DVI, but i dont know if that PC has the DVI port? Or whether it can be upgraded to do so. Do i even need DVI?

Also if anyone could tell me on a side note is that PC a 64bit processor.

Thanks for any help

Yes it's 64 bit.

Not sure whether it has DVI, but i'd guess that it would have DVI and VGA outputs since it has a reasonably modern card.

You can't go wrong if you get amonitor with both DVI and VGA though.

DVI is better as it is a digital connection, so you don't lose any quality in conversion to and from analogue. Picture is noticably sharper.
correction, from the thread you refernced.

Video Graphics
GeForce 7300LE
[*]64 MB DDR memory .... I was thinking of this:whistling:
[*]I/O Ports: VGA, Composite, S-Video[/LIST]So no DVI, but I'd still get a monitor that can take both if i were you.
Card appears to have a DVI slot according to Nvidia site - oh the confusion :)
Yea i know very confusing :-( i mean i see that on nvidia website it says it has dvi, but does that mean i need to add a connector to the back of my tower or do i run a cable directly from the graphics card?

lol i feel like a 'n00b' as they would say in computer game speak

again thanks for the response guys
