Help - need to deter cats and foxes from my garden

I have recently laid a new lawn and despite puting down cat and fox repellent, I still am getting animals foulling on my lawn.
Any suggestions on how to keep them away?
Thanks

shotgun?
#2
In these cases an air rifle or better a shot gun helps.

Only kidding for cats. Fox's classed as pests I think.
#3
what are you using at the mo? are they those things that stick into the ground?

Sentry guns, Claymores, pits etc...

or try those high pitched things
#5
A motion-activated spotlight may work but only downside is that it may wake you up.

I hate those high pitched things. They really get on my nerves.

Have heard people get lion or tiger poo from their local zoo and that works
#7
A dog??
lol
#8
Apparantly the best thing to get is tigers urine, (serious) not sure if you can buy it or have to go begging at a zoo but its the best deterrent someone told me. Sprinkle it around the border of your land and no foxes or cats will come close
#9
rat poison!!!!
#10
:)A Hose scoosh water at them
#11
put catnip in your neigbours:w00t:

I've been told that cats hate the smell of citrus, so leaving orange peel where they are spraying might help.
#13
Try sprinkling extra hot chilli powder around the edges of your garden.

I was gonna say this :) I pop orange peel underneath my Crimbo tree so my cats don't climb it  (and it works!)

the electronic thing works, i have one, although its been kernackered for about a year now but the local cats still dont come in, so it also trains them to stay away, before i had this i had about 4 cats cacking in the garden, now i have none

This stuff help to prevent them getting into your garden in the first place. Will probably work with cats but foxes always find another way into the garden.

I need an oxygen tank when they are around.

Sometimes i give them a quick stroke because they are adoreable but then need a good wash afterwards.

I can have fish only
#34
pea netting is very good, they will won't want to get tangled in it, its made of thin plastic, very light weight so not stretch across your lawn

You can usually find it at Wickes or B&Q.

I'll just wrestle my bf instead, i don't really do responsibility very well.

That's why, i have no kiddywinkles.

If you have the space you could make a hedge out of Rosa Rugosa, about the most evil plant that'll grow in Britain! Pretty cheap as well from scotplantsdirect
#39
I would advise you not to go to the zoo and help yourselt to the tiger urine... The keeper will accuse you of taking the p*&s...
