Hi,

Earlier this year. I transferred all content from a 20GB hard drive to a 60GB hard drive on the same console. i.e. I never used the hard drives with another console.

I am thinking of upgrading to an Elite now and I would want to transfer the content from the 60GB hard drive to the 120GB. I never had to do the license migration thing because I was using the same console. Now, would I be able to do transfer to the 120GB hard drive and then do the license migration to the Elite ?

The info provided on xbox.com is more confusing then helpful
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/console/datamigration.htm

It's mentioned that u can only transfer stuff once and I dont want to do anything stupid.

Any help would be much appreciated
Cheers

If you're a bit more techy you could use a hdd transfer kit (xecuter do one) means opening the pc case though

Its not mega easy but absolutely everything gets transferred.

Thanks for replying but prefer not to :)

Found half of the answer, I think (quote from xbox.com)

I've just upgraded to a larger hard drive and am re-downloading all of my content. Do I need to transfer the content licenses?
No. The content licenses are associated with the console, not the hard drive.

Given that I never transfered the licenses to another console, I am fine in that respect but ONE question remains: Can I still transfer data from the 60gb to the 120GB hard drive. the process isnt just a ONE time thing is it ?
