Aw, that's not a dream it is an awful nightmare.

Hope you are ok, I often dream about my dead friend, I love it because I miss him desperately:cry:

A dream is usually a mix of the days events mashed together. Little incidents in the day you dont think twice about appear in your dream. So perhaps you were cooking and your mind took a photograph of the flame. Then later you saw your soon playing.

In the majority of cases there is no meaning to a dream, just a stream of meaningless together.

I wouldn't worry about you being a bad person, these things cant be helped

an interpritation from http://www.sleeps.com/dictionary/ddd.html
For years in our family it has meant that someone in the family would soon be wed and the wedding would be beautiful. In some circles it means a birth, the opposite of death. To be unable to identify the dead person means a windfall of money for you, To talk to a dead relative is a sign of great good luck.

I have had many dreams that have left me in tears, but dont dwell on it sweet, try to forget it and give your little man a great big hug.........it works wonders! x

It must of been so frightening :friends: .... don't worry yourself over it, as a parent it is probably because you love him so much & it's just your fear of losing him or wanting to protect him (which all parents have at some time or other) being expressed .. at 3 years old all they have is their parent/s a hugh responsibility for you ... just a fear coming out in your dream ... you're awake now have a great day .... smile :-D

I would not read to much into this, everyone has horrible dreams every so often and they no way are a reflection on real life. Try and forget about it now, it was a dream and I agree with all addywin says in their post.

I have had dreams that have felt so real I have woke up believeing it had really happended x

same thing had happened to me but don't be freaked out, it was on my mind for a few days thats all, but its strange how surreal it feels

I looked in my book and if you dream of death it signifies the start of something new.
big hug for you xx

My advice... don't eat cheese before you go to bed.

In Tarot Death means the beginning of a new life or new chapter in your life. As a result of underlying circumstances transformation and change. Major changes. The end of a phase in life which has served its purpose. Abrupt and complete change of circumstances, way of life and patterns of behaviour due to past events and actions. Alterations. I would see it as a positive not a negative what you dreamed

When my kids where small I had an awful dream, which occured often.
My kids & I were in the sea, I was the only one who could swim and I had to choose which one I would save.
I could never choose. I always woke up crying.
When my kids were old enough I took them to the local pool and taught them how to swim and after that, I never had the dream again.
I know how disturbing these dreams can be.

I personally believe dreams are just a bunch of your random thoughts mixed up together, nothing more. Sounds like it was the mother of all nightmares though. Give your little boy a big long hug and know this is just a dream, will not be reality. I sympathise because I've had similar dreams about my child and I felt really bad. xx
#18
how awful but as others have said im sure it is just a nightmare that will pass.

Never tell people about your dreams, be it good or bad except loved ones that you really know cares for you and who you know will never wish you evil. quite a lot of people on here but do they really love you that much like your parent will, or you husband? Pray about it.

There's no need to read too deeply into it. It was only a nightmare, and your little one is just fine (yep, go and cuddle him). I've had dreams that seem so real they've stuck with me for hours or even days afterwards, but time will fix that.

I'm sure any mother with a 3 year old is terrified of anything bad happening to them at such a tender age, so it's no wonder you had such a nightmare now. But don't worry. :)

To lighten the mood, I'll tell you about the last 2 night's dreams:

Dream 1: I modded my Xbox360 and accidently played a backup on Xbox Live, after completing GTAiV. Right after it connected I knew I'd made a terrible, irriversable mistake and sure enough I was banned from Live. Not only that but I'd lost all my GTA acheivements, it was terrible.

Dream 2: I was looking after the neighbours house while they were away. I told my parter I had an idea about how we could save money on elec. I drilled a hole through the wall/bricks behind a cupboard in their house and through into mine, running a big multi-socket adapter through the skirting-board. I had the great idea of hooking everything in our house up to it and never paying for electricity again.

....and you think you have problems. ;)

anxiety manifests itself into dreams sometimes. As you keep thinking of something at the back of your head it follows you into your dreamworld. usually it's not a literal translation of what can happen (unless you're a psychic!) and sometimes just very vivid it shocks us. I still get stupid dreams that I wake up shaken to the core because we're reminded how fragile our lives are and how much it would hurt us if we lose someone we dearly love. Takes me a few days to recover and I usually remind myself hey thank goodness it is not real (even though the emotional response is so realistic it carries on with us into our daily lives).

My OH just goes, yeah go on give us a hug then!

I also think it is about wanting to protect your child, not at all about death and fire really, just your mind conjouring up the worst scenario. He is getting more independant and you worry for him, a natural reaction for a mum, relax I have had them at times, and when you realise that its just anxiety for normal things it will not bother you too much, even though it was very vivid, I know !!!
