Help needed have I been ripped off????

I have looked through everywhere on here but cannot find a list of the moderators. I bought something on here but didnt receive it, I asked for it to be sent out Special Delivery so was insured but they didn't. Took a week for them to apparently post it out then 2 days later after asking for the tracking number god knows how many times (which I did not receive) they said they would refund me????? yes after 2 days. They promised to put the money in my bank personally Monday morning but nothing has been put in. I have sent god knows how many messages but had no reply. Please can anybody help me and advise what to do next :( I appologise in advance if I am not allowed to put this in here but didn't know what else to do.

I'll PM her morphias, i will put the title 'you've won a million pound' then she will reply.

Do you have their name/address/telephone details as per the advice given in the fs/ft rules? How did you pay?

I am new on here, it was a spur of the moment thing as I wanted it quickly for my mums birthday, she wanted payment which I put direct into her bank (I still have the receipt) then got home and realised that I had not got all her required details first so at that point I must have asked 5 times for her details which she never gave me. After appologising that it had not been posted out Special Delivery said she promised she would put the money in my bank first thing Monday morning, just checked again and still no money received. It was never sent out because surely she would have a receipt with my address on.......

Good point, I had a look for it and I can't see it :|

as above if you had all the details as per fs rules you wouldnt be in this problem needing to ask on the forum, instead you would be able to phone them up and find out.

Everyone makes this mistake once on here and trust me you will never make that mistake again, just hope it wasnt an expensive item

OP, You sent £65 to someone with just 1 feedback and who is rarely active on the site?

Oh dear.

Edit: Right this person posted a misc thread 2 days ago, so all is not lost. But I do believe this warrants mod involvement.
Hopefully it will work out ok for you.

ARGHHH- it looks like a bit of private messaging went on as it is not confirmed in the thread if you were the one to buy it! I looked through chloe081 thread's and she has been told not to proceed with sale's previously by ASB.Doesn't look good.

Morphias, as mentioned by a few others, the rules and guidelines are there to protect members.

That said, we will get in touch with chloe081 and refer this thread to our fs forum moderator. He'll be in touch later tonight or in the morning.

We'll do what we can here, but the onus really does lie with members to trade safe and follow the guidelines
#24
Not been active on here for 3 days so may not have got your messages.

A member for over 3 years so unlikely to be a scammer IMO but who knows.

She started PM me straight away and I must have asked her 5 times to put in the thread that she had a 'deal accepted and taken to PM' and eventually she put 'Item now sold'.....

Not that 'new'! :)

Your seller was "Last active: 2 days, 16 hours" ago.

A list of Moderators is not published. As directed above you need to use the "report/spam" link beneath the description of the "For Sale / Trade" thread, or the "Contact" link (below).

You will be asked if you have tried to contact the seller by any/all of the methods suggested you should obtain in advance of sending payment (e-mail, telephone, postal address).

The Moderators can also attempt to contact the member using the e-mail address they registered with.

All: Probably not wise to speculate on the trading history/nature of the seller until more facts are known.

Life gets in the way some times & a genuine issue may have arisen that puts the seller in a bad light, but there is a reasonable explanation for the behaviour.

Good luck... & don't give up hope.

I was in the same position last year (with a different seller) & I was sent a refund after a few weeks (of communication).

BFN,

fp.
