well the title might be over dramatic, but i have 2 problems and hopefully someone might be able to help.
problem one - i'm using nero 6 and have had no problems untill today. for some reason it's not recognising blank cd's, i've tried different cd's and better quaility ones but with no joy
problem two - placed an order for a r4 from clickshop.com on the 22nd of november and have now found out that i'm not going to get it before christmas, they are offering refunds but i'm unlikely to get that and place an order elsewhere and get it delivered before x-mas. so i'll have one very dissapointed little girl this x-mas, they are not answering emails, does anyone have a phone number for them?

good to see you again and thanks for updating me about your ebay problem. They defy belief sometimes do ebay lol but then you already know that !

With regards your problems.

1. Why don't you just re-install nero ? That would hopefully put things right.

2. I found this phone number for them 029 2021 1921
I don't know whether it's current or not. Don't think much of this companies terms and conditions though especially on returns ! Personally I'd get the refund and give them a wide berth unless you know different.

Someone on the For Sale forum here was selling one of these. I'll see if i can find it.

With Nero, I'm not sure of your PC setup, so excuse me if I say something that doesn't apply to you, but...

Have you put the CD into the correct CD player?
Have you made sure that Nero has 'CD' selected as the media type, and not 'DVD'?

i've only got one player and i've re-installed nero, defragged, lense cleaned and it's still the same, it will read cd's with stuff on but doesn't recognised blank cd's, the problem occurred in the same of 5 mins and i can't seem to work out why :oops:
as reguards to clickshop i sent them a horrible email this morning (lettting my emotions get the better of me) here is a copy of it :-
i have sent you email's but had no reply!
I placed by order on the 22nd of November (25 days ago) 11 days before you stopped taking orders for a Christmas delivery and now you are saying I will not receive it before Christmas!
At this late date I will be unable to get one from anywhere else.....thanks!
It is pure greed on your part that my daughter will not get the only thing she has asked for this Christmas!

All I want is the item I paid for in good faith! Which had a delivery time of between 4 and 7 days!!!
I hope you all have a lovely Christmas, paid for with the money of innocent people like myself who thought we could trust you.

I'm stumped on the Nero because I don't use it.

Might be an idea to start a thread with "Help needed on Nero 6 Please" Might attract one of then geeky peeps to help you, lol

I know naff all about things like this so just a wild guess, do you have to format the dvd disk first?

Have you tried using alternative CD burning software to see if they recognize blank cd's?
