I won one of these & need to know what i need & the cheapest places to get bits to set it up.

Also will it work ok in the day time as we would be using as our every day tv?

I have a sky+ box, wii, dvd player & playstation 2 that would need to be connected & i've heard i would need some speakers , screen & wall/ceiling mount...

Thanks in advance

You don't have to have a ceiling mount, mine sits nicely on a shelf.
It will work in the daytime but with nearly all projectors you'll prob need a darkened room. Don't use it to just watch "normal" telly as it'll shorten the bulb life on the projector (replacement bulbs are normally ridiculously over priced!).

It'll depend what connections are on the back of the projector and the equipment you want to hook up but I use the S video connections. If you don't have S video connectors on your Sky box etc. then you could use component cables or a scart lead.

Some projectors have speakers built in but normally the sound they output is pretty carp and sometimes tinny. Try and get a separate amplifier and speakers if your budget will allow.

Enjoy the BIG picture!

Sounds like a complete bag of carp to me!

So having guides to show how to use pirate software and copying films is ok.... but a legit business can't be mentioned? Me thinks someone is losing the plot!

Wii - http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.9493
360 standard component cable
possibly this for dvd/sky http://www.kenable.co.uk/product_info.php/cPath/23_48_65/products_id/669?osCsid=ce6fdb2fdf69804c2093dab7bb4a319b
ps2 should connect with standard cable.

or just a combination of all of them, if you can connect anything with hdmi, that would save switching cables

and something along the lines of this for sound http://www.ebuyer.com/product/122903

no, it's just we need a tv for the living room as our one is about 9 and a half years old with a dodgy couple of inches at the top of the screen :-( & have been told that these shouldn't be used for all the time tv use... so as much as we'd love to have a massive screen projected on the wall it wouldn't be that practical for us :-(
yeah i've seen on internet too the same model for £1000 so hopefully would be able to get enough from selling it to get a decent sized tv
