As the title says. I have been searching the net for an angel costume suitable for a boy (age 4). All the ones I have found are VERY girly. Does anybody have any suggestions??????????

I'm not very artistic............so making one myself is out of the question.

Just fit him up with a white gown, gold belt and halo, otherwise he will look girly.

If the school objects, tell them that the Bible never says that angels have wings - that'll get them thinking.

Ask at the school and see what other parents are doing, sure he isnt the only male angel and the other parents are probably as stuck as you.

I would dress him in white, but pants and a top rather than a gown/sheet type thing. Wings, halo and gold sash type belt

Last year he was a camel. It would be much easier if he was a shepherd.........I could just stick a tea towel on his head like they used to when I was younger.

I wouldn't have thought he would be the only male angel the school are usually very good.

We went shopping to Tesco's tonight and my son wanted me to buy him the angel costume they had there. No chance. I don't think my son would care what he wore.............it's just me not wanting to make him look simple.

He is, but no mention of wings on him though.

Just do something like this, but add a gold sash and halo. If the back could be longer it would give the appearance of wings (if you really want them).

have a look at the ones in Woolworths and Asda-and see if you can do similar. I'd say a plain white t shirt and sash as others have said-not sure how you'd get white trousers........be good though ! Definately need a halo-not sure about wings-you can't always see them anyway.

As he is so young a large or X large mens tshirt should be long enough with white trousers/leggings under. You can buy silver tinsel halo and wings which dont look too girly. Having organised a few nativity plays I finally made a full set of costumes to save parents this bother, its easier than you think to make a simple white tunic, or see if any of the other parents can sew and ask can they help you by making an extra one.
