I bought an item from a member on here 4 months ago, I paid by Paypal gift and never received the item. I sent several PMs to the person, they claimed that it had been posted but got lost in the post (same old story).
I contacted the mods and they advised me to send them another PM asking for a refund.
At first the person was very helpful but gradually they stopped replying to my reqests, the phone number I had wasnt correct.
I am stuck now, I PM'd today stating that I still need the money back and although its only £30 I still would like it back. I dont want to name the person as they are seen as a respectable member, I really dont want the hassle of naming and shaming.
I have spoken to Citizens Advice and they have advised me to contact the police as this is classed as theft but I think this is severe, I have sent a PM today giving them a deadline for a refund or I will take action.
Anybody have any suggestions?

none different from what you have already described. 4 months is a long time!!!!! I think that Paypal gift thing should be stopped tbh, seems to be the culprit in all problem deals.

If they don't get in touch after seeing this, name and shame, please!!!

it saves money & time, but people need to be wary when using, i never had a problem :)

What was the item?

Name and shame, they don t deserve to be left anonymous as this leaves them free to do th same again to someone else.

I'm not justifying what the seller of the item is doing but I am in a similar situation myself...someone bought an item from me and it didn't get there. I have the receipt of postage and have sent it away for a Royal Mail claim. I communicated with the buyer to some degree but some of their PM's weren't getting to me, they contacted a Mod and the Mod PM'd me ok and it was a start to hopefully getting things sorted as I'm still waiting on Royal Mail to process the claim. Anyhoo, might be worth PMing a Mod and giving them your side of things, see if they can help contact the seller on you behalf and start off better communication from them?

Are they online now?

Well they will of read your PMs then - but it might be the case they aren't getting them like in my situation. Or maybe they are just choosing to ignore which is silly. A mod should definitely help things, Rayman has been really helpful in my situation

This seller, would I be correct in saying they are female?

Was it also £25 not £30?

hope you get it sorted 4 months is far to long. good luck

Be interesting to know this skusey?

I had to wait 15 days to put a claim in with RM and when I called them yesterday they said they had a 3 week delay apparently due to 'Christmas'. But 4 months is silly, surely they'd have settled by now:thumbsup:

If they had sent it via recorded delivery then i think they should have given you the number, Start by demanding that, If they did send it via RD and claimed it back already without giving you a refund them name and shame them hun:x

Have had a PM, I will get the money back later....I will keep you informed, thanks for all you support.
You are all too kind, many thanks and happy Christmas:):):santa:

whats the difference if they are a "respected" member?
In fact it makes it worse as they may be using their status on here to con other unsuspecting buyers into conning them. If they've done it to you then they can do it to anyone else so at the very least negative feedback should be left just to warn others.
and if its who I believe it to be then I very much doubt they have financial problems and even if they did 4 months is taking the p especially over £25.

I have already left neg feedback due to the time span, I cant comment on their financial situation and it should be sorted in the next week or two:thumbsup:

yeah just seen that but I wouldn't be so lenient as she's been offering away on fs threads as recent as the 8th and it doesn't look as if she's short of cash going by some of her other posts.

Hopefully you'll get it sorted out in the end though.
#30
skusey this reminds me of this thread

i know who the seller was ......... its not the twit from that thread but they have similar traits .......

the other person i can see "used" to post quite a bit ...... hmmmmmm

skusey tell them they have till xx date (e.g. 1st january etc) then you will file a court case thingy to get your money back......
#31
In fact mate the more I read her posts I'd be choking on my own rage at this. She is definately at it and to be honest looking more into it I doubt you'll get your cash back from her if she hasn't given it back to you by now. I'm getting angry and angrier for you.

What he said

I think you should name and shame, the person in question has just brought a DSTT card and is looking to buy a PSP, another DS, wii accessories.

They've just listed a load of games on E-bay so why can't they refund you?

You've been scammed mate, hopefully the mods will give them a trading ban

Scamming an Hammer that's not right we've been through enough over the last few years!!!

seems to be a thing thats happening alot now people are reluctant to leave neg feedback when a deal goes bad or they are being messed about,a guy was taking the mick with me and 2 or 3 others saying he had posted items when he hadnt and not getting in touch about what was happening when my items did arrive i left him bad feedback and he left me neg feedback just to get back at me when i asked why the other people in the thread never left him neg feedback all 3 said they were scared to recieve neg feedback like he did to me.thankfully rayman removed the neg feedback for me.u cant let people get away with it feedback is there to protect people.
