I really need some advice here and it would be very kind if someone could help us.

I live in a block of flats in London and have a very rude female neighbor.

Basically when I had purchased my property, a parking space was allocated with the flat. I am a doctor by profession and I tend to do loads of odd hours. Yesterday when I returned back from work at midnight the neighbour had parked in my parking place. I had rang and spoke to her to remove her car and she replied that she will be down in 5 minutes. After waiting for 10 min i rang her bell again but there was no answer. So i went to her door and started knocking. She clearly was tryign to ignore me, but i could cleary hear her laughing with someone else. I threatened to call the police but she replied that " You can take the car and shove it up your a**"!!

The police were of no help and said to ring the management company. I rang the company in the morning but they said that i need to ring your solicitor and sort it out yourself.

Any suggestions of what i could do next???

you're a doctor so you have access to lots of drugs. simple solution poison her!! lol
#2
Smash her headlights.
#3
Could you get her car clamped? That's what would happen if you parked somewhere you were not supposed to.
#4
Do you share the same landlord?
#5
ring your solicitor like they suggested. Its better to sort it out.
#6
Try the citizans advice bureau. They may be able to help you word a letter to her threatening to take things further if she doesn't comply. Then if she doesn't, a letter from your soliciter would probably be good.

Does she own her flat or rent it? You could try complaining to her landlord if she rents.
#7
Alternately let her tyres down whenever she parks in your space!
#8
slash her tyres, in a couple of days. dont make it obvious by doing itt too soon.

Try to sort this out as nicely as you can, write her a note explaining that you are a doctor and why you come and go at odd times.
If this doesn't work then try citizens advice before you consult with a solicitor.
Put up a sign saying " This parking space is allocated to number?"
Good Luck :)

It does not pay to make enemas..........but you could shove a potato up her exhaust pipe.............
#11
That must be really annoying. I agree, try the citizens advice. They know everything lol. There must be something that can be done cause you've paid for something that you are being allowed to use.
#12
If its your private property, cant you clamp it yourself?
all you need is a sign and a clamp and a hefty fine for releasing it...
#13
LOL! Nice advice guys..i wish i could try out all of them!! I have looked into the screwfix as well as thats another option the management company had suggested. I have a feeling if i take any action my beautiful BMW 5 series will be destroyed!! I am going to try the citizen advice bureau and see what they suggest! Thanks for all your advice... ill keep you updated.

Paint Stripper!!

park in her space?
#16
Make sure that if you anything to her car, you put some sort of CCTV to watch your car whenever its parked on your bay.

It probably also wouldn't hurt to make the point that, as a doctor, she or one of her visitors might have need of your assistance one day. It might be very hard for you to give it if you were tired because you'd spent the previous night sitting in your vehicle waiting for her to move hers after a hard day/night's work, instead of zipping up to your flat & getting some sleep. :)

I'd also suggest speaking to your local authority. I've seen some residences with signs outside amounting to no parking being allowed because of the space being needed for doctors etc, so maybe your local authority could advise on how to make sure the space stays free in future. Having an official sign there (especially one that advises of a penalty for breaching it) might make this woman be more considerate in future. :)

I'd imagine with this kind of person that if you take any action you'll probably end up with a keyed car. As the people above have said, I would
a) Talk to her, tell her you are a doctor and it is important that you can get into the space you paid for
b) Check out whether she owns or rents
c) If she rents, send a letter to her landlord, if she owns, send a letter to her

If all else fails then
d) Sell the flat and buy a mansion anywhere else in the country

I love it rep!

this seems like the best (well least likely to get your car knacked) solution to me
#22
park in her space in the meantime, but seek advice from citizen advice bureau

GGGGGGGGGGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ! I hate it when people take your parking space. Get some kind of parking thing so she can't put it their ! or put some horse poo outside her door !
#27
this sort of thing can really snowball it seems it only happened once she could of had a drink and not normally like that you never know but i would just knock on her door and have a chat before you go any further.
#28
park in her space... but while u r waiting for things to get rolling..why not go round when she hasnt parked..and when she is n her own..confront her..but remain calm .... explain ur situation and how u will be contacting solicitors if this is to continue..give her the option to start over (even if u woulsnt spit on her if she ws on fire...!) maybe reasoning with the stupid cow might make her feel a bit dumb and wake her up.

or u could be totally awesome and get a tow comapny to take her car away.

Buy an old banger off ebay and stick it in her space then put one of those security poles on your space

I agree . As annoying and wrong she's been, it could be a one off. As dmissy says she could have had a drink etc..and then realised she wouldn't even be capable of moving her car. Before it escalates (which you don't really want as she's your neighbour) try mentioning that your a doctor and need the space as others have said. Hopefully she'll feel soo embarressed she won't ever park in your space again. Failing that, try some of the other, funnier suggestions ;-).
#33
Hire a skip...........or buy a skoda.........whatever is cheapest........and put it in her space
#34
maybe she just did it as a one off i had the same problem but once i welded her doors shut and she had to get in like daisey duke she never parked there again

thanks leer my first time

Have a word with your fellow doctors and have her pay next time she takes a visit to the GP.

On a side note I can't park my car outside my house 'til after 6pm or on Sundays so I deliberately park 5 minutes walk away (where there are no houses) so I can walk to/from my car to get a nice bit of exercise!
#38
i cant believe someone would call the police fo parking in someones space surely the police have better things to do
#39
Your best bet is to get to know her and talk to her, explain that you are a Doctor and that you need access to the parking space. If she is still being rude you have to get it sorted via your solicitor. Check your household insurance first (presuming you have some) it may cover legal fees.

hey guys thanks a ton for all ur suggestions. I think i will have to try and talk things to her. because i think its the best way of going about doing things. she did look drunk last night when she was responding back to me!

so I think once she is sober I will try and speak again to her and make her understand things a bit.

the annoying thing is that she has been doing this quite a few times. this is the 4th episode. i have always spken to her politely. but yesterday she really P****d me off.

anyway thanks guys for all ur suggestions....!
