just got my dads vids from his trip to venice to put on disk for him but half of them are sideways and for the life of me i can't get them to turn round - they will only open with quicktime player and then it says i need quick time pro to turn them round - why is that? surely if i own the video i should at least be able to do something as simple as turn it round by 90 degrees - a simple control . makes a picture rotate so why not a video - is there any way round this as i know everyone on here is a genius and there hasn;t been a question yet you lot can't answer for me.... i eagerly anicipate your answers - hopefully good ones :) but if i'm thinking rightly, once again i've been screwed over by the joys of technology ..... (if i don't reply it'll be because i've g0one to bed)

The software provided with many digital cameras offer rotation of MOV videos. Have a look at your supplied software. I am not sure if I can provide urls here but if you do not find the requisite software, have a browse for Kodak Eashshare software.

Ah, Easyshare software is freely available. Try this URL:

http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=7895&pq-locale=en_US

You will need to specify camera model.
